Terrible use of SFX...
...but the ending redeemed, and will continue to redeem ANY bad critique on this movie.

I am speechless
Thank you.
Stylish and clever
Excellent pacing between images and a cleverly delivered message to all Facetards who spend way too much time on that place.
Music was good, animation was right on with the theme and the overall presentation could very well fit in a TV-ad. Good job.
I get your point, but
What I don't understand is why you continue to do Girlchan when you obviously have a nice production-pipeline with inbetweeners (if that was true) to make top-quality movies.
Because the visuals are very nice, the animation is really good and could easily fit for a quality series.
I just think that you might be wasting your time doing parodies for Newgrounders to laugh at, when you could invest that time in doing something substantial, something that might earn you reverence even outside of Newgrounds.
Just a thought.
The Pooper
This has potential
The first half of this is awesome! Everything that's before the accusation line is really fun to watch! Just the way the dude reacts to this peculiar woman and how he gasps for air and then looks around him in desperation.
"Doesn't anyone else notice this??"
It would've been so much more fun if you went in the direction of a paranoid politician, obsessed with the idea that there exists snake people and he's the only one that can stop them. And then make a scene where he tries to cover up his paranoia in front of all the other politicians. (And fails, inducing unease in the seats, and laughter from us).
My two cents.
It's a love/hate thing...
God, when I clicked the link I thought "Hmm, that looks like TheB- aaaaw it's TheBoogley!" with a mix of fear and glee. Because your style really... confuses me, because I find your movies both intriguing and threatening in a sense.
Threatening to what? I think it's just the general unexpectedness you build your style upon that fills me with unease. That, and your use of sound as an enhancer of delirium rather than ambiance.
It's a very guilty pleasure.
wow, if I ever release a dvd, I'll be quoting some of this review on the back.
I just make the movies naturally, so I guess that intriguing/threatening schism is built into my psyche...
+1 on crit
You know Ego, there comes a time when every artist is pretty much forced to renew his/her concepts due to redundancy. This is no exception, as I think this vid shows that you might be relying a little too much on your rep, rather than your wit.
From what I've read, a lot of the community's thoughts on this is merely a "meh". And they're right. There's nothing, absolutely nothing new in this vid; same jokes, same violence, same easter egg. The only thing you constantly improve on is animation, but even that has limits too. I think you can do a LOT better than this, and I also don't think you want to be associated with "Awesome" vids for the rest of your career.
It's time for something new, something more than just the now old fad "Awesome's". This vid is a good warning sign that you might start losing the crowd. So go prove us wrong, Raptor. :)
Hmm, well...
You need new voice-actors. Or they need voice-acting lessons, because all your characters are sounding the same, and never change their voices. I mean, how many characters doesn't share this news-anchors voice? Goose-man and that blonde dude from your early stuff are some. Oh yeah, and Angry Dog.
However, your animation just gets better, as well as your script writing.
first of all todd's a recurring character from as far back as 2006 so he's got to keep the same voice. secondly the other times i voice the main characters are different stories that don't overlap so there's no reason why they should be different. but thanks for watching more than one over time anyway
AWESOME
"Yoo can't beat what yoo can't see, mutherfucker!"
Epic. Well deserved in the Awesome collection.
And I don't think it's "ripping off" anymore. Egoraptor has created a whole new genre of flash movies, so by making an awesome video, one simply contributes to the genre. And what a genre it is.
I detect something!
